Hi all. I am attempting to grow perpetual spinach this year for the first time. As I have problems with slugs and clay soil, I tend to start everything off in pots. Is this possible with spinach or does it need to be sown direct? I'm also going to try lettuce, but again these would need to be sown in pots as getting my soil to a fine tilth is nigh on impossible and if I did manage it I know the slugs would eat anything coming through. Any help greatly appreciated

As already said, grow it in modules, much easier.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
