Does moving plants fron the house to an unheated greenhouse work as hardening off, or will they still need some time outside the GH prior to planting out in the plot?

You need to get them ready for the place they will eventually be. If that is outside, then they need to go outside to harden off.

I tend to forget.

I take them out and put them under the carport for a few days...then stick them in a cold frame at the allotment for a few days.My phone has more Processing power than the Computers NASA used to fake the Moon LandingsComment

I didn't harden off my toms or pole beans, because the weather was warm when I planted them out, so I assumed they wouldn't need it. They seem to be doing ok.Comment
