They went in the ground on 31 March after being well chitted. Now they've got flower buds. Is 7 weeks a bit short for them to be ready?

Marshalls say "as little as 7 weeks" but that seems like it could just be their promotional bumph. Anyone else had them ready in such short a time? Time for a furtle?

I think 'tis bumph! Give them another few weeks. At least 10 althogether. I leave first earlies for about 13 weeks for a reasonable crop.

I grew them last year and they took 10 weeks. You'll know they're ready for sure when the foliage starts to die down.

My swifts went in in late March Trad rows (every attention lavished on them) and some mid March...through plastic. Early March bucket in greenhouse....Haven't flowered yet....so you're doing better than I. However unless you want mainly marbles I'd still leave them till early June...whatever it says on the tin.

I would say 60 days is as soon as they would be ready. They should be a good size by 70 days which is where I think some of these other companies get confused.

Leave them a bit longer!
Hope they aren't as disappointing as the ones I grew last year...I got lots of spuds but they didn't have much flavour
