Last Years Potatoes...

I too have spuds springing up all over the place, including in the compost bin. I'm digging them up and transplanting into big tubs.
I wondered if they could have sprung up from potato peelings that haven't composted properly, possibly because the compost hasn't got hot enough.

Trouble is I've used last years potato beds as this years onion beds and they're growing through the onions and leeks. If I dig out the rougue spuds I'll have to dig up the new plants.
