Sounds like it might be a forking bush (indeterminant) variety rather than a cordon sort? What type are they Chef?

Leaf curl can be caused by a virus... But this is quite rare...

Leaf curling is common and not a problem. I find it happens most when there is high nitrogen levels... as Wellie said common around fruit set in hot weather, Just a theory... but perhaps it means it's time to start a potassium rich feeding regime?

Otherwise it could just be shading issues on plants with high leaf coverage.

Just watched Beechgrove garden (Still on BBC iplayer) and the first 3/4 mins was about tomatoes with the great Jim McColl saying that they have had alot of emails about top leaf curl and that it is the day/night temp changes.

I found a Roma that was tucked in the back of the stayput. It too had "forked" with a truss on each of the stems, so I've sunk it into a flower bucket and tied both stems in to see what happens.
