Hi everyone, I have a few questions about some veggie's im growing in pots.. I did grow various things last year which did really well so im not a total newbie but i would like some advice regarding my plants
I have 5 pepper plants which I have just re-potted this morning into larger pots, they are around the same size as the flower buckets from morrisons, the plants are kept on a very sunny windowsil which gets quite hot during the day and gets light all day long.. the seeds germinated quite quickly (I planted them in March) and the plants are now around 8" - 10" tall with 8 or 9 leaves on each plant, the plants look healthy nice green leaves no discolouring or anything, I noticed the stalks seems to be getting slightly thicker around the base too is this normal for pepper plants or are mine a bit behind on growing? when do they normally start to fruit? and when should I start to feed them do I wait until they get flowers?
Also thinking of getting a plastic greenhouse for everything to go in as im running out of space to put things, im also growing courgette which is getting very big, a cucumber which is already fruiting, a melon plant (not sure if that will grow into anything though its not much taller than the peppers) ive also got purple sprouting brocolli in a pot which is huge now and growing very well.. (i grow it mainly for the leaves though lol I have guinea pigs who love them!)
Ive just bought some seeds for cauliflower, brocolli and french beans will they be ok to go in now or have i left it too late?
any advice about the peppers would be great, thank you
