My celery is ready to plant out.had a disaster last year as it went brown and horrible, any tips on how i can plant out, make it last? Any ideas and I would be really grateful

Whatever you're putting it in, water it well, make sure it's watered well all the time, give it a feed every now and again, chuck some fertiliser around it unless you've already dug in manure.
I'm trying big cardboard tubes round mine to see if that makes a difference against bugs. So far, it's all collared, but the only one that's collared with plastic, not cardboard is doing far less well than the others. Maybe the plastic conducts heat less well, no idea... -
I'll get into the garden tomorrow and take a photo of my 2 methods for this year.
One thing, water water and water again. It can't get enough of the stuff.
