Hi I wonder whether anyone can help. I'm a newbie gardener who has started an allotment with some friends. We planted some radishes back in March. They look like the roots are peeping up through the soil so I decided now would be the time to lift one to see what it was like. The thing is, although it's rather large - about 2 inches in diametre and globular - it's not the red/pink colour I expected it to be, it's a cream colour instead!
Is this normal, could they be diseased or will they turn red if I leave them alone? Also I'm planting Mooli - maybe I've gotten mixed up! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, what's the best time to lift Mooli - they went in at the same time (beggining of March).
