growing vege with berries?

i've got a small growing space issue on the allotment at the moment,
and i was wondering if it would be ok to plant some vege in the vacant areas of 2 berries beds?. one bed is just raspberries, the other is hybrid berries.

is there any reason why there should be a problem?

I hope it's ok as I have put salad leaves and poached egg plant under/next to my raspberries and lettuce and sunflowers very close to my new currant bushes
