Marshalls free radish trial

Did anyone trial the yellow radishes from Marshalls?
I had a go, not that impressed really, don't think I'd buy them.
(the red radish in the photo is a cherry belle I think, as a comparison sown at the same time.)

Ive got them but not planted them yet, whats the flavour like?
Just got the gyo mag with the purple ones so going to plany them as well.

I have got those trial radishes.....they don't look appetising do they? Mine have only just germinated, so not ready for a while. Maybe I should post piccies too.

French Breakfast & Sparkler radishes doing alright though. Really big 'cos I left them bit long before harvesting :P

I'm trialling them too - third sowing as the cat dug up the first two goes!

They seemed slow to develope but quick to go to seed and not particularily uniform (like your picture). Also the skin is a dirty yellow rather than bright.

They have also been quite hot and not as good as french breakfast or scarlet globe.

Don't think I'll be buying them

The flavour is ok, just munched one to check!! But, somehow they look "scruffy"!!
The colour just doesn't do it for me! Also, prefer neat round radishes without the tapering off bit.
They germinated ok, and grew ok...........even I couldn't fail with a radish...?

Yes, its the uniformity and dirty appearence!!! Theres nothing better than a nice bright bunch of scarlet radishes!!

yeh...somehow bright red radishes have that munch-appeal! I have grown Sparkler (round) and French Breakfast (long) this year and they've been great! Bit peppery though!

Yellow ones have germinated and I've just sown some Mooli - Long White Icicle - it's a form of radish?

I sowed mine a week ago, forgot all about them lol.....but my breakfast ones are huge and yummy!
