Is it too late?

Hi All,

After watching an episode of Jamie at Home last night (was all about tomatoes) I want to try and grow some other varieties of Tomatoes apart from money maker, garden pearl, and cherry. I couldn't believe the amount of different ones there are when I searched online.

My question is it too late to sow some seeds, or would it be worth a go?

I think I would buy a couple of plants and grow on now.

I've got striped stuffer, marmande, garden pearl, yellow perfection and Golden Boy this year.

Would you like a couple of seedlings sent to you? I can't guarantee the type as I've got 29 and not sure which is small enough to send but I expect it might be some of the heritage red or yellow pears that I sowed when I got back from NYC a month ago. They are still small enough to send if I wrap them carefully.

Just let me know and I'll get some posted off at the start of next week.

I have several spare plants I could post out,I've kept one of seedling containers for posting.I have Tigerella small stripey tom and minibell small bush tom ideal for pots on patio. PM me with address if you'd like some.

Great Vegetable Seeds from The Real Seed Catalogue

Try these for size, less varieties but all grow in Wales - so if they grow there they will grow most places across the UK

Also try the HSL at the bottom of my sig, it should link to the organic catalogue, also with lots of varieties

try this link, they have some great varieties and post out pretty quickly!

W Robinson and Son, specialist seed supplier, mail order vegetable seeds, mammoth vegetables its robinsons, u can phone them too and ask what they have!

As well as my usual beefsteak, plum, delight and pearl, I'm trying a Hillbilly given to me by a friend and after visiting the suggested sites I'll probably be trying a few more now! I'll be looking like one soon.

I thought I was too late after my crop failed and ended up buying some plants from the car boot sale! Cheaper than the shops

I didn't sow any tomatoes this year, but have managed to end up with about 6 different plants, through swaps

There's already fruit on the Feb sown ones.
