Title says it all!
I weeded for 5 hrs straight this afternoon. And that's after spending nearly all of half-term weeding too! I thought I'd got on top of it, but the bindweed is all coming up now, creeping in from my neighbour's plot.
My greenhouses & back garden take 2 hours to water every morning, then again every evening when it's been sunny. I have snails doing random attacks on the trays too.
I have trays & trays & trays of plants ready to go in the ground, but it's just too hot and dry. We were due a wet weekend, but it stayed mostly dry (again).
On top of that, my neighbour is unwell, so his two plots are going to rack and ruin ... all the weeds are flowering. I keep scything them off, but the next day another lot is up
My French beans aren't germinating (much) and my peas are being attacked by sparrows.
The chard, beetroot and coriander are bolting.
And the blackfly has just arrived this afternoon!
I keep telling myself: next year will be easier (because both my garden and my lotty are new and full of weed seeds). There I am wishing the year away.
