    Title says it all!

I weeded for 5 hrs straight this afternoon. And that's after spending nearly all of half-term weeding too! I thought I'd got on top of it, but the bindweed is all coming up now, creeping in from my neighbour's plot.

My greenhouses & back garden take 2 hours to water every morning, then again every evening when it's been sunny. I have snails doing random attacks on the trays too.

I have trays & trays & trays of plants ready to go in the ground, but it's just too hot and dry. We were due a wet weekend, but it stayed mostly dry (again).

On top of that, my neighbour is unwell, so his two plots are going to rack and ruin ... all the weeds are flowering. I keep scything them off, but the next day another lot is up

My French beans aren't germinating (much) and my peas are being attacked by sparrows.

The chard, beetroot and coriander are bolting.

And the blackfly has just arrived this afternoon!

I keep telling myself: next year will be easier (because both my garden and my lotty are new and full of weed seeds). There I am wishing the year away.

I hope things are going to get better for you soon TS. Meanwhile - a bath, back rub, glass of wine/cuppa?

        EDIT

I just re-read that and it sounds like I was offering you a back rub, lol.

Don't let them grind you down.... leaving them will make it worse.
And there will be rain soon.
          You do a sterling job

Ahh there, there TS. Just think that in the blink of an eye it could be raining to let you get your crops in, your neighbour will soon be better and everything in the garden will be rosy again.
All good wishes for it to happen.

The problem is that when it rains, MORE weeds pop up!

Keep it up TS you're doing sterling work - if here is anything to go by, the rain will be there soon enough and when it comes it'll come!

Thanks folks, it's been belting down all night.
So now the ground is too wet to plant into, lol. Now I need a bit of a dry spell to get the plants in, then a bit more rain.

Remind yourself how good it will be when you get to reap the rewards (literally!)

If it's been raining take out your frustrations by stamping on the snails...

Not even sure what bindweed looks like although I'm sure we have some. There is a huge variety of weeds enjoying our garden. We had some rain for the last few days and yes all the weeds went 'Hooray time to grow/flower/spread'.
I totally empathise with you TS although by the sounds of it you have a lot more space to worry about than I do.
Mind you, once you start harvesting the rewards of all your hard work it all seems worthwhile

Don't let things get you down. You're doing trojan work. When the rain stops go out and take a deep breath of the fresh, damp air and just watch your babies take off. I'm sure if they could they'd all thank you for the love and care you lavish on them - weeds excepted of course!
A good beginning is half the work.

I thought I'd got rid of most of my bind weed.....how mistaken was I!? It is coming up everywhere. I may have to resort to Roundup when the weather dries up.

Stick a cane next to it, let it twine up the cane, then wipe Roundup onto it. You won't get anything else by mistake then.
