Lol - Ishywotsit will now be adopted as the unofficial name of my scallions. As for taste - I haven't a clue - they all went into my veg boxes !!! Will try some next time around though and let you know. They are slightly quicker to maturity than White Lisbon.
As for winter hardy White Lisbon - again no idea - this will be my first attempt at scallions over the winter but as it can get pretty bloody cold up here, even in the tunnel during winter thought I'd play safe. I am just trying to try out veg that will give my box customers a bit more variation over the winter / early spring months, when it is hard to get a huge variety of veg.

The price probably! I don't think there is much difference.

Grow Perpetual Spinach - I had some in my tunnel and have only cleared it when this years sowings came up and last years started to bolt. It cropped right through the winter.

I'm growing Furio and Guardsman. Same bed same sowing time, but the Furio is definitely doing better.

I'm growing furio as well and they're going great.
Gave to agree with Zazen about replanting them.
When mine got to a certain size they just sat in the modules doing nothing.
I patiently replanted each one seperately and they are growing like wildfire'
Am also growing a heritage variety which i bought from the Iresh seedsavers site
The name Buan and they are looking good. Did'nt taste them yet though.

And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
