how do you grow asparagus?

does it really take 3 years? how offten would they grow if you vut it right? how would you cut it right? is it worth it or would you grow something eles?

With the crowns you can start harvesting in the 2nd year. As for whether it is worth it, depends if you have the spare space.

-Yes...takes three years but then you can harvest for further 25 years with not much maintenance
-Once a year...cut everything from about end of March to midsummers day....a good plant might give you a dozen or so a year.
-I think it is very worth it ...expensive to buy, delicious, my kids scoff it, I pay a hundred favours with it and its about when there's little else to eat on the plot.
