        I didn't but I printed it out for some one & he modified the method a tad & grew them in compost bags fasten to his fence with basil growing out of the top.

          Re toms rat, sorry, all mine were grown outdoors but agree with Nick that Ferline are good.

          What about sub artic plenty? Heritage variety grown to crop earlier for US servicemen stationed in the Arctic circle. Available from Thomson & Morgan.

                  That upside down growing looks brilliant. Got some nice big buckets so going to try a couple of plants and give that a go.
