Re toms rat, sorry, all mine were grown outdoors but agree with Nick that Ferline are good.
What about sub artic plenty? Heritage variety grown to crop earlier for US servicemen stationed in the Arctic circle. Available from Thomson & Morgan.Bright Blessings
