Black bugs on my tomatoes

Just spotted a few of these on the underside of one leaf, there are also some on my peas.


My veg book doesn't mention them.
What are they?
Are they bad?
If so, how do I kill them?

Firstly are the White blobs White fly...?


If so, then the back blobs are very likely Encarsia Formosa.... these are predators that basically consume white fly by paracetising the white fly eggs.

Google Encarsia Formosa for pictures...see if they match with your bugs.

I thought they could be blackfly, but hard to tell from the pic.
If they suddenly increase in numbers, they are blackfly.

They're too small and my eyesight isn't good enough to compare to the picture of Encarsia Formosa. The white blobs don't look like White Fly, they appear to be eggs of some sort.

Is there any precautionary treatment I can give my plants?
