One of my sweetcorn is much larger than the others - he must be the boss.

I planted some in the greenhouse and they are HUGE...might need to find a way to take the roof off if they keep this up much longer! The ones in the ground aren't nearly as big - maybe about 1.5feet just but hoping for a late, hot summer so they come away nicely over the next couple of months........fingers are crossed

Mine appear to have stood still for the last month! Really jealous of all the ones pictured as mine are about 6 inches tall!

We've 3 batches of about 30 plants each, the last sown are the ones doing the best, really thick stems about 2' tall, the others are between 6" and 12" tall and a lot further behind! Still hoping for a decent crop tho!

The first batch germinated fine, then all just went brown and died, I have absolutely no idea why
The second batch all germinated and were growing away fine, then we had a downpour while they were hardening off and some nasty slimeys came and ate them all down to the soil

                        Better luck next year...

Mine have the first cob, but I'm only growing minipop. Really looking forward to proper sweetcorn for next year!

I've never grown it before but bought some seeds for 20p at the car boot today so hopefully will grow some next year.
