I've put my leeks in mine. I know you're not supposed to follow an Allium with an Allium but i had nowhere else for them to go and my leeks won't last me much into next year. There is also a pumpkin "Wee be little in there too."

I'm just putting in stuff where I have room - so I'll put in there anything that is next to go in. I suspect that it will be brassicas of all descriptions next, as they have come up in 48 hours [I sowed a load at the weekend], perhaps with a later sowing of borlotti and pinto beans and the odd surplus chilli/pepper/tomato in between. Maybe a bunch of onions just to set the mix off.

I'll be putting chard in. Can't get enough of that wonderful ...stuff! (Neither can the chickens!)Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

I too am risking ignoring the rotation this year, I have leeks in a bed with celery, beetroot and a patty pan, as the allium bed was full already, I have some more leeks seeking a place to grow, and they will go where my broad beans have been when they come out this weekend. It is the first time these beds have been used, so I hope I get away with it, because come the time for planning next year, I will only have one bed that hasn't had member of the allium family in it (and I cant be sure about that one. I really like leeks!)
