I water my chillies and peppers daily and feed on Fridays (or once a week)
I grow them on the windowcill.
In really sunny weather I move them back from the the glass to stop the flowers from scorching.
    They get on fine.

I grow in pots, but I make sure there's worms in the compost I put in there - they make more I believe. Not sure, but worms certainly arent detrimental!

As for feed, every other day I put a cap full of tom feed and a cap full of liquid sea weed feed (as a root drench). I've had MUCH higher yeilds than last year when I hardly ever fed and there hasn't been problems in terms of plant growth. All are thriving and despite my pea plants not being very tall (about the length of a standard bamboo cane) they were heavy croppers and I got plenty!

I can't really tell you what the signs of over-feeding are as fact, just that I feed regularly and don't have any issues.
