Interesting tomatoes from Real Seeds

I found Real Seeds from a thread I read on here a while ago. I ordered a variety of tomatoes that looked interesting called Millefleur and they are apparently slightly larger than grapes.

Their description stated that the tomato truss has lots and lots of flowers. Well, my plants are now fruiting and there are well over 100 flowers per truss. Each truss is about 30-50cm wide and loaded with flowers, I've never seen anything like it.

I can't seem to work out how to insert an image here so here's the link if you fancy a look. I have three like this on my plot. I've let them go wild and form a bush, perhaps not the cleverest thing. I've also got 4 more in the greenhouse so should be swimming in cherry toms in a few weeks!

Something similar happened to me. I am growing tomatoes in buckets and have given up trying to count the number of flowers on the trusses - it was well in excess of 100 more than a month ago, now it is possibly 200 or 300 flowers/fruit per truss. I have stopped all of these plants and am keeping them well fed and watered. They look like yours, save that I have removed all redundant leaves, leaving only the trusses and one or two leaves at the very top of the plant.

This happened to me once before when I lost the lot to blight after they failed to ripen. This year the earliest fruit have gone to the light green stage and yesterday saw the first redness appearing.

Last time it happened (with Sweet Million) I spent a lot of time supporting the trusses. This time they appear to be managing well enough on their own, so won't be bothering for a while yet.

Ooohhh now I don't know anything about tomatoes - I am just trying to find out, and to be fair I semi-cheated by buying my first tom plants already half grown from Lidl!

But I am so excited and interested to see what happens with yours, there are hoards of flowers on them aren't there. I hope you will be able to keep us updated, as I mainly eat small tomatoes - lots of them, so if you get on well maybe I can try that as one of my next tomato challenges.

I grew Millefleur last year, I thought they were a pain in the @rse... The tomatoes are very similar to Sungold in size, but I found them very prone to botrytis in the greenhouse, and took up too much room with their bassive trusses... Ended up throwing the 2 plants outside, where they did marginally better...
I've just stuck with Sungold for cherries this year

On the other hand, the Amish Paste I got from Real Seeds have been star performers and I'd happily recommend them to anyone
