Insecticidal Soap

Morning all,

Can we buy concentrate insecticidal soap here in the UK.? I have had a small attck of mealy aphid on my brussel sprouts and used a bug gone spray to remove them but i can only use this the one time and i want to use something organic should the little beggers come back. Typing onto E Bay gets no results and the search engines only throw up USA sites.

I don't know what area of the country you live in but you can buy it as 'Soft Soap' here in Doncaster from our local garden shop. It is made by Chempak so should be available everywhere. You could look on their website for stockists.

Hi everyone, I've been loitering for a while and finally got round to registering.

In answer to the question, I would recommend ecover washing up liquid! I have access to a good supply as my wife uses it to wash dishes. I, on the other hand, mix up a weak solution and use it to rid my tomatoes and chillies of aphids. I have used it for the last couple of years and neither the tomatoes or chillies seem to mind it.

Obviously ecover hasn't been approved by the EU or whatnot as an insecticide.
