I was tidying up a box of stuff a couple of weeks ago and found a packet of beetroot seeds that needed planting within a year of purchase apparently.
I obviously hadn't bought them this year
So I thought 'stuff it, let's give it a shot and see what happens' and planted them.
Well so far, I have 11 seedlings through
Not so exciting you may think....except that the date they were to expire was 1988
So...I have baby beetroots that are already 21 years old
