  • Charity Open Garden Weekend - Auchenblae

Auchenblae (our village - South of Aberdeen, North of Dundee) is having a Charity Open Garden weekend.

Starting off at the Village Hall you receive a map and information on the gardens. You are then free to then wander around 7 very different gardens. It's on Saturday and Sunday the 18th and 19th July from 1pm - 4.30pm, with Strawberry Teas being served in the Village Hall along with raffles, stalls and Plant and Bric A Brac Stalls.

If you are coming along, please let me know. There's quite a few of us in the Aberdeenshire/Angus area so it may be a great chance to meet up with a few fellow grapes. Our house is the only one of the 7 with black window boxes.

Good luck for that weekend (esp after your awful wall saga), I hope your garden looks lovely!

Amanda, it sounds a super weekend, I hope it all goes well, despite your wall episode. Wish I lived closer! Could you post some photos so we can all enjoy?
      Good luck! Bernie

hi amanda - Have the Kirrie Show the same weekend and pals coming through for the show from Edinburgh, sounds like fun at yours also though...however will see you tomorrow when I collect plants, so I can have a pre-Open Gardens viewing before anyone else!...of your garden at least....and the wall!

          We are gonna be there!

          Hiya,

I think us 3 are gonna be there: TiaChica, Mr Chica and little Master Chica.

I hope the weather works out and that the little one is gonna be healthy.
We'll probably be there on the sunday or a little later (2pm? on the saturday).

Do you want me to bring any seeds?

          :-)

No seeds required, but thanks for the offer - I think I have enough seeds to keep the village going.

Forgot to add info re pricing - £4.50 per person for entry to all gardens and includes strawberry tea at the hall - Little Un's are free.
