i've heard a lot about trusses on tomato plants but what are they and what do they look like? has anyone got a pic of one? also when do i start pinching out the elbows?

An elbow is the little green joint above the tomato which you break to harvest the tomato to leave the green "leafy" calyx on the red tomato.

You should get a flower truss after there are 6 leaves growing.
The number of leaves is more of an indication than the height!!!The proof of the growing is in the eating.
