Broccoli Question

Hi all, I hope you have been enjoying lovely gardening weather today!

I have a question about broccoli....After cutting off the main head, I know you can then get smaller shoots from the side, but how many, and what then?
I have had about half a dozen shoots, is it now time to pull the plant up?

You'll get one shoot from each point where a leaf joins the main stem. After that nothing.
