I was thinking these taste very tomato saucy more so than Moneymaker and the like, do you think they would make a good sauce, anyone tried?

No - I like them so much to each fresh I've never had enough left to make sauce. I can't think why they wouldn't be any good - except that they are smallish so the skin to flesh ratio is high. Lots to sift out. try it and let us know!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

I always grow these (not fruiting yet though) and they produce tonnes of fruit. Use a lot of them in pasta sauces etc to eat over the winter and they are very good for that. I don't skin my tomatoes but blitz roast the toms with garlic, onion, sometimes courgette, chilli or whatever and then blitz the whole lot before storing. Not that keen on Moneymaker so haven't grown them in years so can't comment on the comparison.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
