  • well well, my crystal lemon cukes

    are totally lovely and yummy and sooo much better (IMO) than the green ones - they will deffo get a place in my garden next year.

    Asparagus peas however - will not!

      still got a few I believe, I only showed a couple plants to try them out - gave some seeds to a Grape who was in need of some

          I haven't done so - to be honest it didn't occur to me, the fruits aren't bitter, but maybe they'd have been even non-bitterer if I had?

            Dunno. I had read you didn't need to, but then another lemon cuke grower asked as their 1st cuke had been bitter...mine are nowhere near! Boo-hoo!

                It won't be long before the 'normal' ones in the greenhouse are ripe though.

                  Have a packet of seeds but got them to late for this year so will be trying them next year. I must remember next year to make sure I grow all the same type of cucumbers either all female or male & female, it's impossible to grow both side by side.
