Winter Radish

This is a crop that I have never grown before but as I am always looking to make best use of my plot fancy a try nest season.

Does anybody have any recommendations regarding varieties anf other growing tips.

Did you see the article in the new GYO, looks well worth growing, hadn't realised there was a winter variety till I read that, you can get the seeds from Real Seeds

I tried black spanish round a couple of years ago but wasn't successful. I think I planted too late. They were too small to be able to do anything with and the yield was poor. Probably all due to being late.
