A few of us would like to start a social group for those who are 70 and over. How do we go about this, mods? The title is one possible name, also End of the Tunnel. Any other suggestions welcome!

Sounds a bit exclusive for a public forum. Have you tried facebook?

Up at the top right, underneath your name, click on 'Quick Links', then go down the menu and click on 'Social Groups'. When you get the Groups page up, scroll right down to the bottom of the page and on the green bar you can click on 'Create New Group', it's fairly straight forward once you start If you make it an Invitation Only group, everyone else can still read it, so you might as well stick with public group.
The only downside to these groups is that people forget to look at them - you don't get any notification if someone posts - and they fizzle out a bit.

Only just caught up with this thread, having been a bit busy in the garden!
Not keen on being labelled 'pensioner' or 'geriatric', Snohare! We did think about 'the end of the tunnel' us being the light, of course!!
Not sure if I'll still be around in 2037! I'll be 98! Will I still be gardening? Hmmm.
I did intend once to live to be 130 - depends on the old joints!

I think it's the hair that's supposed to go silver, Janeyo, though mine has only a smattering as yet. You don't want to know what happens to your skin!

this is the time of life that the iron comes in handy lol,am not so far behind you,personly i prefer the regular forum,my birth certificate says one thing,but my mind has other ideas lol
