My autumn/winter ones have been brilliant, really good sizes and some whoppers, the best being Red Cross from Mmarshalls. They were planted in a bed in #1 plot with reasonably well fed soil (added mushroom compost last summer)
My spring planted sets haven't fared so well,, they are Sturon and Red Emperor - the R.E. have ALL bolted, every single one, and the Sturon are fairly pathetic in size, although they aren't falling over yet. They were planted in #2 plot in not very well fed soil, just added chicken pellets and spent compost.
