help please

Hi I am New Here
I also am a newbie can some body help me here ref my onions I only have 1 onion growing and it has stalk/growth about 18" high x2 with white fluffy balls ( bit like dandilion Heads is this where I would find seeds for next year???
As I said I am a newbie to all this gardening veggie thing
Any Help would greatly recieved

was Norwich dry today? It was here on the coast till teatime, then it belted down again

Hi there and welcome to the Vine.
I am afraid I cant help you with your onion issue as I haven't grown them myself yet. I do have chives which produce purple ball-shaped flowers and if left to ripen get lots of seed for next year. I am guessing that all alliums flower and seed in a similar way but probably will have different coloured flowers.
