They were not reduced they looked really healthy, the lable doesnt give the variety it just says a well established variety popular in france bronze skinned globe shaped onion is ideal for slicing raw. Planting and cropping plant mid march or July to grow over winter for early spring cropping. Spacing 12cm apart any type soil, they are not the little onion sets that i have seen before these have a root a white ball (onion) and green stalk about 15cm high, i just dont know how they should be planted, in the container they are in the ball sits above the soil is this how i should plant them? thanks
