How many yellow flowers are we talking?If just a few then the broccoli will still be OK to eat,but be warned,once started,it doesn't take long for them to fully bolt & just be a mass of yellow.
You may find if you cut off the main head then it will sprout some new mini heads.Ours did,not sure if all varieties do or not...if you're not desperate for the space then give it a go.

I'm always a bit carp with getting mine harvested before it bolts,so you're not alone!
One of our lottie neighbours harvests most of it as soon as it's ready & chucks it in the freezer...lovely as it is to be able to cut it fresh from the plot when you want it,you really don't have long between ready & bolted!

does anyone know why mine has bolted so early this year? i've grown the same varieties as last year when we had bumper harvests, this year they only formed very small crowns and bolted very quickly. is it down to the weather or have i done something wrong?
