First outdoor ripeners
My red, and yellow, tumbling toms are ripening up nicely. I haven't picked any yet as they felt a tad firm. I'll try tomorrow - or this aftertnoon if it stops raining. Others are dropping gentle hints that they may ripen in the not-too-distant future. There's pleasure sure in being mad that only madmen know - Anon

To anyone else on the subject of ripening tomatoes - I have a question: do Cherokee Purple toms go reddish first before going purple or do they go shades of purple? Reason I ask is that I have a tom that may be Ananas Noire and therefore a multitude of colours or it could be Purple Cherokee. What do you think?Attached FilesRtB x
