I'm jealous...they look better than mine, even the ones in my green house seem to be struggling this year, last year i'd been picking tomatoes from late June.

Yeahhh...my outdoor tomatoes are also deciding to turn as opposed to the indoor ones which have decided to remain green for the time being. Interestingly the ones which I heavily de-leafed are turning the first.

I've had no problem with the basket tomatoes turning red and have been picking them for weeks now. On the other hand the cordon toms are very very slow on turning and will be weeks yet. Still I have a good green tomato chutney recipe.

My Tumbling Toms are doing well and I have pretty much neglected them.

Thank goodness for the little 'uns !

            Same here.
The Tumblers, Garden Pearl, and Sungold have all been great at getting the hang of ripening.
            Gardeners Delight a little slower.
Alicante and Moneymaker still green !
As for Carbon, lovely big fruit but green as green can be !

Picked around 15 sungold from outside plants last weekend, one Latah (supposed to be very early), and 3 yellow Tumbling Toms. Gartenperle just turning - H&Ts and red TT still waiting. Black Russian (first time) just starting to turn - what colour do you pick them anyway???

The black toms are ready when they go a sort of dark mahogany. Black is a bit of an exaggeration!
