You usually get a few males before the females join in; if they've only recently started to flower I wouldn't worry too much just yet.

I also think I've observed that temperature seems to influence this a little. Hot, sunny weather tends to lead to a higher proportion of females.

Our courgettes produced plenty for friends looking after lottie while we were away .Unfortunatly they left some to get a little bit big which stopped them producing. Anyway after giving them lots of yummy comfrey tea to drink they have thankfully started producing again. So perhaps they're hungry.

I had the same thing with my two plants. The first flower fell off (male) and then since then I have had a mixture of male and female flowers now. The females obviously produce the plants which you will soon see on yours. Just be a bit more patient and things will start happening!!
