Live plants delivery

I am feeling really ill today.
Typical then that my PSB and WSB plants were delivered this morning. The compost is sill damp, but I really, really will not be able to get them into the ground today. What's the best thing to do until I can get them safely installed in their new home?

What i've done with plug plants in the past is to fill a seed tray with compost and kind of plant them in that until i'm ready to plant properly. Just keep the roots covered and don't let them dry out, then they should be fine until you're ready......i've left stuff like this for a week or more!!!

I got some stop-gap veg plants from Fentongollan Farm in Cornwall. They've been very good, organically grown and hardened off outside. Excellent delivery too. The plug plants come in little pillow packs and they say although best to plant straight away, if you can't they can be left unopened for 3 days. I have had to leave a few packs and they've been fine. The pillow packs create their own little microclimate so they might be a good bet if you need more at any time?

I would open the pack, and put the plants somewhere cool and shady till ready to plant.

my husband has planted them in a deepish seed tray and watered them and i will try and get them into the beds in the next few days. They were nice healthy looking plants so I am hoping they will be OK
