I'm exactly the same, my OH asked me to grow some as she likes them, then hardly any got eaten
I tried them again, as I will force myself to eat anything I grow, but I have to say, I can't quite see the point
The only thing I have grown this year that I dont think I will grow again in Radish, I dont like them but my partner does so I grew some for him. They were easy and quick to grow but they just didnt get eaten.
I grew the free radishes that came with the mag. this year, but I don't like them much either. I grew them as an inter-crop between my broad beans, but after harvesting, put them in the fridge and forgot about them until they went all soft and wrinkly, when I threw 'em on the compost heap!
Ah................. but the blurring becomes worse once you pickle it as mine has now become a cream colour!
You can still see the stripes on mine although not so clearly after roasting in tin foil and then assembling as a pickle when cold. Did you add you vinegar when hot maybe? Am just trying to work out the differences. Personally although it looks good I found it to have a lower harvest than bolt hardy so will probably just grow that next year as it seems to be given away free with magazines every year so I have loads of seeds too

I put all my 75 pumpkins (Crown Prince and Hooligan) outside my gate and sold nearly all of them at £1 or £2 each. Wanna try again??
But why? They're sooooooo lovely baked in the oven! Mind you, on profits like that you can buy a lot of seed as am guessing you grossed about £100 which I'm sure you declared to the tax man

Tatties, to much effort for to little crop, beetroot, all were golfball size and didn't really like them, cabbage, eaten by insects before we could eat them.
I grew the burpees golden when it first became fashionable maybe 30 years ago! From what I remember it grew huge, was very easy to grow and was marketed as 'Great for using with cooked ham as it doesn't stain the meat'
Maybe it's time to give it another go next year as the foliage would fit in well with my decorative allotment gardening, having a lemony tinge if I remember correctly!

Hi!
Don't know if anyone has said this but it just has to be weeds! No matter how much weeding I do, they just come back 4 fold - it's just not fair!!
No, honestly, it'd have to be broccoli (went to seed straight away), kohl rabi (never got round to eating it), carrots (just don't germinate), mooli (grew all twisted and unusable), salsify (again, grew twisted), aubergine, oh aubergine, tried 6 years running, probably totalling 18 plants and how many fruits??? Just one how rubbish!!!
