Glad it's of use (I have to admit, someone else on the vine recommended it to). I was particularly interested to read that you should pick all the plant's fruit before overwintering to increase the chances of success.

i had some on some chilli plants that i brought into the house from the greenhouse, when i ran out of room... they are greenfly, but when they settle on a new host plant, they lose their wings...

i tried to get rid of them by a little washing liquid in some warm water, but it didn't work, as they increased in number and started bringing ants into the house so i had to get the big guns out. fortunately, only had to spray very sparingly once with watered down provado...

am planning on overwintering them, as some of the seeds were started off quite late, and some of them i forgot to label, so i'm trying to keep them going as long as possible, so i can find out what they are!!!!

Thanks fireblade, am doing the washing up liquid spray and some "squishing", hopefully getting on top of them this way. And thanks for the new fact about the losing wings thing - bizarre!
