Re-using grow bags after tomatoes

Has anyone had any success in using grow bags after removing the tomato plants? I don't just mean recycling the contents. I have to plant my onions in bags due to white root rot. I had reasonable results last winter with bags. The best was left in my greenhouse all winter. I am wondering if I could plant this autum's sets into this year's tom bags?

in theory yes you could but I would mix into the compost a little general fertiliser / feed of your choice as the growbag should be exhauseted of most of its nutrients.

I'm currently growing salad crops (they are doing well) in my used grow bags

I buy grow bags and tip the contents into containers and mix with home made compost. These invariably get a second crop after I've worked in a little blood, fish and bone meal. Like piskie I tend to put in salad crops or something that doesn't demand too much. Currently I've got lettuce, radish, chard and spring onions in tubs that previously had cucumbers, peas and french beans. After the second crop they get tipped onto the heap and the whole thing starts again next year.
