Thanks! The Crown Princes are whoppers, but the butternuts are runts! To be fair though, I harvested most of the butternuts a couple of weeks ago as the leaves had died back, but I left a few small ones on the plants in the hope that they'd ripen a bit more as they weren't the same golden colour as the others. Well they did change colour a bit (I think) and I'm sure they'll be OK for a small meal sometime soon. Even my biggest butternuts weren't all that big though - maybe not enough rain.
Oh, and I've left 3 smaller crown princes out on the plants as they were more green than blue and looked like they needed to ripen some more. 14 large + 3 small isn't bad from 3 plants though.
