I have grown basil (purple and green), sage, oregano and thyme. The question is what should I do with these over autumn and winter, will they survive outside?

Herbs - Over Winter

I keep basil inside in Winter - it may still wither away, but picking some shoots and standing them in water will give you roots and new plants in a week or three - this is a tip I learned on this site from Flummery and it's worked a dream.
I leave the others (sage, oregano, thyme) outside, they do fine.My hopes are not always realized but I always hope (Ovid)
