late October suggested here, I have heard early November with the aim being 4 inch high plants which (hopefully!) won't get battered by the winter storms while the roots will still grow.
I read of one person who always plants on bonfire night as that was his grandad's method.
I am planning on having a go in 2 weeks time. Is it worth doing in modules to get them started away from slugs?

Putting some in next weekend and then staggering them over the next 4-5 weeks.
Don't know if it will work as my plan is to not get them all ready all at once.
