              Potatoes and onions for me.

Spuds are a great staple and go lots of ways.

Onions are the flavour building blocks of many good dishes and I just love the smell of them frying!

Was OK with PFA (pink fir apple) but struggling with EPS!

Re the veg think, couldn't limit it to 2 as it would mean I'd have no fresh veg for so much of the year so will stand out on this one.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Maybe EPS is early purple sprouting? I get dizzy with all the different TLA's (three letter acronyms)

I forgot about chillies! I could never not grow chillies, they're like members of the family now!

leeks because they're available most of the year if you plan it right and potatoes for the same reason. A bit dull I know but it's grim up north

On the other hand I can see the Lake District fells whenever I look out the window....as long as it's not raining.

If we're assuming that we can still buy stuff from the shops? Then it would have to be beans and tomatoes for me, the beans would be a dual purpose fresh pod/shelly beans type, and the tomatoes would be Amish Paste - good fresh or cooked.

If no shops either, then it would be leeks and beans I think, most of the vitamins covered, plus some storable protein for the winter.

I'd have to grow stuff I couldn't 'out-source' so it would be something like Oca and Pak Choi. None of my gardening friends grow these and I can always turn on the grease (and the Party 50) and scrounge things like peas, beans and carrots. I would say chili but as I am not allowed the hot ones I love then I would just have to give them up. Frustrating question isn't it?
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
                            >
                            >If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?

Tatties and beans. I also need to grow tomatoes but as it's a fruit it doesn't count. So final list tatties, beans and tomatoes.

Good thinking FF! So, mine would be chillies, peppers and tomatoes.
