I'm thinking like Sarz - toms and shelly beans - but I can't possibly only have 2! I'm a Guru it says! How can you 'guru' 2 crops? I'll have to have new potatoes as well. Deal?

So so hard to choose ......I love growing everything I have tried so far even the crops that didnt do so well, as I just see them as a change for next year. The crops I enjoy to grow the most are Beans, Tomatoes, Squash, Peppers and Chillies as there are so many wonderful varieties to go at.

But if it was only two and no more it would be Potatoes and Onions, the basis of almost every meal.

This is far too tough a choice!

It would have to be tomatoes (but more than one variety )

And probably beans (again more than one variety!)

But at the thought of not having all the others! I need a cuppa now, just to recover!

Being practical I'd have to say onions and toms cos we use loads of them.

BUT....I love leeks and broccoli ( never managed to grow broccoli though)

But toms can be a pain with blight

OK- my choice would be leeks and french beans!!!!! YUM!

Potatoes and Onions, because they are what we use the most, also I have had a good success with these in the last year, and kept family and friends stocked up too.

French beans every time (I'm only marginally obsessed with them) and beetroot; does anyone else get to a stage where they look at what's left of a crop and think "I don't want to pick/dig up any more of those because then that will be the last of them"? I'm like that with beetroot - keep hanging on to my final few

For ease of growing, it would have to be Potatoes and Courgettes. For taste, potatoes and butternut squash. For yield, potatoes and climbing French beans.

                              So, definitely potatoes, then!!

Mine would have to be peas and parsnips. I can usually get a fairly long season out of both and I lave the flavour of both. I am still harvesting the peas and the parsnips are only waiting for the first frost. Another couple of weeks and peas will be going in for overwintering.
