  • Unripened sweet peppers

I have a lot of sweet peppers not ripened. Is there any way of ripening them now. Something similar to what is done with tomatoes ?

I accidentally severed mine and will just use it as a sour pepper, instead!!

I don't think they ripen very well off the plant - they tend to dry out. I've found that once they've got some colour on them then you can finish them off indoors on a windowsill.

You may just have to settle for green pepper for some of them

Hmmmm... I was wondering about this too.

Lots of my mini peppers and long 'sweet' peppers look lovely and red and ripe but taste incredibly bitter still.

I am considering bringing the mini pepper plants inside and onto a window sill or three to see if they will ripen up better indoors... unfortunately the long pepper plants won'y be so easy to fit indoors!

Might be worth it with the mini peppers especially as a couple of them are still flowering and setting fruit! Have they not checked the calendar?!
