Ahoy Savoy

Whilst having a mooch around the local family run garden centre I spotted some Savoy seedlings. Now I do like a bit of savoy cooked with bacon and cream, so I bought a tray of seedlings (about 4/5 ins high).
Now I discover they should be planted out in July at the latest. Question is it worth planting them now (perhaps in the polytunnel?) or compost them?

Well... leek, onion, broad bean, kale, lettuce, radish and chard. Any other suggestions? I also noticed the garden centre was selling cauli seedlings is it too late for them?

If you have a polytunnel the usual rules don't apply. i'd bung them all in myself and I don't even have a polytunnel. And the cauli as well. I've sown all those recently, to be grown in the greenhouse and will fill gaps as other crops are harvested. Broadies; I haven't even sown yet. Onion sets, still got 200 to go in the ground.

I'd plant them and fleece them. That'll give them a bit of warmth to do some growing before the really cold weather comes along. Or put them into big pots and grow them on a bit undercover before planting them out. I definitely wouldn't just compost them after paying money for them!
