Had a look at the seed swap on here and looks good, will definitely be contributing once we've got our seeds - just one (possibly silly!) question. If we want to split a packet of seeds what's the best way of sending them if we make a swap, just in a little envelope?

Depends on the seed. Some of the bigger ones can just be dropped in the envelope. You can fold smaller ones in paper, use little envelopes, pop them in a little plastic bag (I bought some from ebay) or if you're feeling creative or want to give the kids something to do, you can make some. There are quite a few links if you google seed envelope template.

Can I ask not to put them into folded paper unless it is taped up - in a big seed swap they can come apart and fall out and then the seeds can be wasted.


Anything that keeps the seeds in a self contained area......little plastic envelopes are great if the seeds are dried out properly first....put some holes in them with a needle just to allow airflow if possible.
