bumper crop of runners!!!!!

having been sick for 3 weeks I felt better today and thought i'd have a look at the plot - well what do you know a huge crop of runner beans - filled my trug. Mmmmm nice fresh beans for tea that should make me feel better.

And....the weeds didn't look as bad as i'd expected.

Also picked,leeks,curly kale,toscana kale,turnips,swede,beetroot,cabbage,brussels and lettuce. Perhaps not going so often does have its advantages.....

Thanks mrsw. You've given me some hope - I've only been out of action for 2 weeks, but I'm fretting. I did remind OH to check the runners and he picked enough for last night's meal and they did make me feel better - but I know there's broccoli nearly ready and I'd hate it to go too far before he picks it (slightly anxious smiley)!

Runners seem to be doing really well this year, everyone I know with a lottie has reported a huge yield.
